The BotE downloads were broken archives and have been taken offline. We are currently in the process of replacing the BotE files, but this might take a while.

You may notice some changes, such as why are all the articles gone? Why am I no longer a member? Due to a damaged database people kept getting logged in as the wrong person, or were getting an invalid token, so it was decided to rebuild the site. We are sorry for any problems this may cause.

Supremacy PDF Print E-mail

Mike has posted an update for Supremacy. If your game hasn't already automatically updated, try loading the game up and the auto-updater will run, or you can download the most recent release from the Supremacy Pre-Release Download Thread or from the Supremacy Game Download Section of Star-Trek-Games.com.

This latest update fixes several issues with both the game and the editor:

Game updates:

  • Previously, some structures would be rendered inactive from turn-to-turn, even when sufficient energy was available. These buildings no longer turn themselves off.
  • Previously, tech levels in ALL research categories had to be reached in order to build items, even though certain levels were only required for some of those categories. Buildings now become available at the correct tech levels.
  • TrashMan has been added to the credits for his structure images.

Editor Updates:

  • The "Prerequisites", "Obsoleted Items", and "Upgrades" listboxes now scroll instead of expanding to fit their contents when several items are added. This bug resulted in the other boxes being squeezed out of place, making them unusable. The scrollbars now prevent this from happening.
  • Multiple items may now be added to those listboxes at once. Previously, objects could only be added one at-a-time; even if you had selected multiple objects, only the first one selected would be added to the list and you would have to go back and reselect each object you wanted to add in turn.
  • Items (Races, civilizations, and all tech objects) may now be deleted from the editor as necessary. This was previously impossible to do.

The update also contains the previous update, which adds support for extra-large displays. Supremacy now upscales the image quality on screens larger than 1600 pixels high. The UI elements now expand to fill all of the available space; this does not reduce image quality however - quite the opposite! Since the elements are drawn larger, they are drawn with more pixels and thus appear crisper and more detailed. This update will not affect most users however; at typical resolutions, the game will appear the same as it did before.
